Dave Gintz
Founder & Visionary

Anyone who has met Dave will tell you about his energy, his commitment, and his vision. He is not only a builder by trade but also a builder of relationships and community.  He brings two decades of experience as a real estate developer, starting as a mortgage loan officer in 1999 to building a dynamic land development and custom home construction company today. Along the way, he founded four other real estate companies with partners before breaking out on his own. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Arizona. Dave adheres to a personal philosophy of “Family First”. He and his wife Jenn are the proud parents of teenage daughters Makenzie and Lola and their son Bryton.


Jed Cazier
COO

Since 2004, Jed has been a key player in the construction industry throughout the Northwest. He has been involved in the construction of many popular restaurants, hundreds of homes and many multi-family projects. As the Chief Development Officer at Cedar and Sage, Jed is accountable for our field operations team, their overall performance and the experience of our clients. Jed loves the entire building process, seeing his projects come to life and become a place for families to enjoy.


Rich Cook
Chief Investment Officer

Rich is the Chief Investment Officer and former Chief Financial Officer for Cedar & Sage Homes and is primarily focused on investor relations and improving enterprise value of the organization. Prior to Cedar & Sage, Rich was the CFO of a software company within the vacation rental industry for 12 years. Having run the financials of the company since inception and having worked with the CEO daily to grow and mature the company, the company was successfully sold. He is likewise vigilant in ensuring Cedar and Sage is positioned for growth to benefit its owners, investors, and employees.


Tim Larsen
Chief Financial Officer

From 2011 to the present, Tim has been passively involved with real estate development through new construction of townhomes, multi-family units, and apartments. His professional experience during the past two decades has been focused on FP&A, tax, go to market activities, and operations management. He obtained a Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University which provided a strong educational foundation from which he built practical experience across a broad range of finance fields. He and his wife Brooke have four children and reside in Draper, Utah.


Melissa Drees
Integrator

Melissa is a seasoned professional with a remarkable talent for assembling and leveraging her unique capabilities and those of her teammates. With an insatiable hunger for growth and an unwavering commitment to excellence, she refuses to settle for anything less than the next level of achievement. She possesses an exceptional ability to confront challenges head-on, facing them with a confident smirk and hands ready to dive into action. Her strategic mindset allows her to fortify lifelong relationships that extend far beyond the confines of a specific project, cultivating a strong network of devoted advocates. With Melissa at the helm, Cedar and Sage Homes can count on her unwavering dedication to the team’s success. Her keen eye for talent and her unwavering determination makes her an invaluable asset in achieving the company’s goals and ensuring the highest level of excellence in every endeavor.


Steve Hudson
Chief Operations Officer

Steve leads the company’s operations with responsibility for construction activities in each of the company’s divisions and locations. With a well-rounded 36-year construction career ranging from hands-on construction, project management, team building, and business ownership Steve leverages his cumulative experience to build efficient and effective project management teams. By arranging the right people in the right seats Steve has a proven track record of building teams of people that have different skill sets that complement each other and this results in maximum efficiency and a culture of teamwork that drives the success of our projects with the ultimate goal of being on schedule and on budget on every project.
